About Fresh for Ellen

Hi Ellen!

Fresh for Ellen is a group of fans who love fresh produce! We are inspired by your commitment to cut processed sugar consumption and support your efforts by shining a light on the countless benefits of “nature’s candy", fresh fruit and veggies!

Our mission is three-fold. We aim to:

1. Increase awareness about the wonders and goodness of fresh fruits and vegetables
2. Encourage consumption of natural sugars as a perfect alternative to processed sugars
3. Give and share fresh produce, in mass and on a personal basis, to get fresh produce in the hands of as many people as possible

To put this encouragement into action, we would like to give your audience a basket of ripe and ready-to-eat produce anytime you feature any fruit or veggie item on your show. On top of that, each time you talk about the fresh fruits and vegetables that are helping you make it through your sugar-free journey, we’ll give at least 1,000 pounds of produce to a worthy cause that week.

In the meantime, we’ve made it our goal to share, donate or give 100,000 pounds of fresh fruit and vegetables by March 31, 2010. Until then, we’ll be watching The Ellen DeGeneres Show and hoping that you give fresh fruit and veggies a shout out! When you live it, we give it!
